Sweet Surveillance
Team work in three , 2018
This project aims to discuss whether people are willing to sacrifice privacy for happiness or convenience. We made a large box with a lovely atmosphere and free cupcake inside, but it is always broadcast live, hoping to cause people to think about how much they could sacrifice.

We have researched some speeches and micro-expressions in the political field and realised that many people are usually aware of or concerned about similar things but just watching. Such double thoughts may evolve into cognitive disorders. Then we experimented with cognitive dysfunction and found that people will gradually become more submissive to the commander when they cannot feel the outside information. We hope that people will consider their consequences more.

We finally designed a box full of free food and some music with a faint siren sound. People outside can observe people's behavior through the monitor. The siren sound can remind people in the box to be onlookers. We hope that the experiencers can better weigh the pros and cons of gain and sacrifice.
